“This is how I've been delivering mail to Vasco Rossi for years.”

Christian Rubini, a postman from Zocca. He often delivered mail to Vasco Rossi, too.
Zocca (Modena), August 26, 2025 – Many would love to be a postman in Zocca , especially fans during the month of July, when Vasco usually spends a month on vacation in his hometown. It would be wonderful to ring the doorbell at the house in Verucchia and see him appear at the door to sign the mail register. Christian Rubini, a young postman from Zocca since 2008 , assigned to the Vignola Distribution Center, now lives in Bologna, and has delivered mail to Vasco's house countless times . He knows everything about the area, where he's traveled miles and miles to deliver letters, postcards, and packages on time.
"Things have changed a bit with social media," he says. "There are still many fans who write to him and, above all, continue to come to Zocca to learn about his places, the people he talks about in his songs or his stories about Zocca, or to try to meet him. They write to him all year round, but especially at Christmas and on his birthday (February 7th), when packages and cards always arrive."
Before the advent of the internet, the amount of correspondence for Kom was greater. "He received a flood of letters and postcards ," Cristian explains. "They were simply addressed to 'Vasco Rossi – Zocca,' and they arrived. Some were declarations of love, others of gratitude, many shared personal stories. Once, a girl wrote that thanks to one of his songs, she had found the courage to leave a toxic relationship."
And the postman also becomes a tourist information agent . Many turn to him for directions to the rocker's home or even to get a firsthand account of their illustrious fellow countryman.
“In truth today “Many fans arrive informed, thanks to social media. They no longer ask like they used to where his house is or where to go. But it's true, there's always someone who asks me if I know his habits, his places like the Panoramic restaurant and where he used to go with his guitarist friend Massimo Riva. I tell them that Vasco is one of us, that when he's in town, it's not uncommon to see him at the BiBap bar with his lifelong friends for a game of cards, like in the old days, a simple and authentic moment, away from the spotlight but full of friendship and tradition. Or when he takes his morning bike ride along the paths of our woods.” Christian has a favorite Vasco song, Albachiara , “which,” he says, “comes from his personal experience here in town, observing a girl named Giovanna at the bus stop.”
